Ryan is originally from Athens, GA, where he also attended the University of Georgia. His career has been diverse, including professional sailing in the West Indies, servicing cooling systems in New York skyscrapers, and now inventing. Ryan is laser-focused on every detail of the Alizé Umbrella, ensuring that small details combine to create something truly revolutionary.
Tony Lee
Tony is the General Manager of Sintai Furniture Group, the largest wooden market umbrella manufacturer since 1996. As the second-generation owner, Tony has constantly sought ways to innovate. His collaboration with Ryan has brought the Alizé Umbrella — a dream of effective outdoor cooling — to the market.

The Alizé Umbrella’s self-retracting fan guards represent a breakthrough in design, utilizing the leverage of the top rib to pull open automatically. This totally new concept, like our built-in fans, has never been seen before in the market. By designing and manufacturing in-house, we were able to develop and refine this patented system, proving our commitment to engineering innovation and effortless functionality in every detail.

Protection meets performance in our innovative USB covers, inspired by French military robotics. We adapted the same easy-to-open yet waterproof design, ensuring seamless access to power while protecting against the elements. Great airflow doesn’t just happen—it has to be engineered. Fans need uninterrupted air intake to maintain consistent cooling, so we designed canopy vents and precision baffles to guide airflow efficiently through the system. Additionally, a strategic indent at the tip of each fan blade breaks up turbulence, significantly reducing noise. Every element, from the shape of the blades to the structure of the umbrella, is designed for maximum cooling, minimal noise, and superior comfort—a level of refinement only possible through complete in-house manufacturing.
